Break The Cycle | BCM Partnership

We are thrilled to announce our funding partnership for Break the Cycle with BCM Insurance company.

BCM Insurance

BCM Insurance is a Mutual Insurance Company, meaning that they are community based, owned and operated by their policyholders. They are also members of the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association (OMIA), which has a long history of serving the mutual community.

A lot has changed over the years, however their approach to taking care of the insurance needs of their policyholders has remained the same. At BCM Insurance, “We have been keeping promises since 1880.”

In 1880, Bertie and Willoughby Mutual was formed by a group of farmers who were unable to find fire insurance at a reasonable cost. They got together to form their own insurance company. In 1898, Clinton Mutual was formed under similar circumstances. These two companies operated independently until 1970 when they amalgamated to Bertie & Clinton Mutual Insurance Company. In 2018, they rebranded to BCM Insurance.

Their origins were born out of a need to serve their community. As a way to expand their service to their community, they launched their Community Grants Program in 2019. Through this program their goal is to strengthen local non-profit organizations’ capacity to continue to do their great work in serving Niagara’s communities.

We are honoured to be granted this support and partnership with BCM that will not only help Grant #BreakTheCycle, but it will also help our organization continue to grow and serve more children in our community.
