12 Jan Cycling past the finish line and onto 2022!
Check out the 2021 Break the Cycle Recap! 10,000km on a bike through the wind and rain, sun over the course of 2021 A goal to raise $100,000 to help feed kids across Niagara throughout the school year.
Philanthropist at heart, Grant McArthur, friend of Community Crew, decided to take on the challenge. Would he be successful with one goal or both goals? Only time would tell, and it would take a year to find out. On December 30th of 2021, Grant officially crossed the finish line in revenue and kilometers.
This year, was filled with challenges, injuries, bad weather, shut downs and so much more. Day by day, week over week, month by month, it was consistency that helped push Grant over the goals that he set for himself.
“We all need to make an effort to give back and serve our community. Cycling, speaking with people about Community Crew and raising funds is my way to give back to a program that is close to my heart.” Says Grant.
With the support of his sponsors & training team Grant was able to surpass both his cycling goal and fundraising goal before year end! When we spoke with Grant about doing another round for 2022, he was on board. This time, he has a team of riders who want to join him in his quest to ride 100,000km collectively. There is no better way to support a community than doing with friends.
